Subdomain vs custom domain

Every store comes with a free your-store.storecrafto.com subdomain that works from the moment you publish. When you want your store on your own web address — such as shop.yourbrand.pk — you connect a custom domain. Custom domains are available on the Business plan.

Add your domain

In Settings → Domain, add the domain you want to use. Storecrafto then gives you the DNS records you need to point that domain at your store:

• a CNAME target to route your domain's traffic to your storefront, and
• a verification record that proves you control the domain.

Add the records at your DNS provider

Sign in to wherever your domain's DNS is managed — your registrar or DNS host — and add the records exactly as shown:

1. Create the CNAME record pointing to the target Storecrafto gave you.
2. Add the verification record with the name and value shown.
3. Save your changes.

Copy the values precisely. A trailing dot, an extra space, or the wrong host is the usual reason a domain fails to verify.

Verify

Back in Settings → Domain, click Verify. Storecrafto checks that your records are in place. DNS changes can take a little time to propagate — often minutes, occasionally up to a few hours — so if it does not verify on the first try, wait a short while and check again.

SSL is automatic

Once your domain is verified, the SSL certificate is provisioned for you automatically, so your store loads securely over HTTPS. There is nothing to buy, install, or renew — it is handled and kept up to date on your behalf.

After it is live

You can set your custom domain as the primary address for your store, so visitors and links use it consistently. If you ever remove a domain, your free subdomain continues to work, so your store is never left unreachable.

If verification keeps failing, double-check the records against the values shown, confirm you added them to the correct domain, and allow more time for DNS to update before trying again.
