Copyright & IP Complaints (DMCA)
Last updated: August 10, 2026
This page explains how to tell us that content in a store hosted on Storecrafto infringes your copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property — and what we do when you do. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
1. Our position
Storecrafto is a hosting platform. Merchants create their own stores and upload their own product images, descriptions, logos, and other content — we do not review it before it goes live and we do not sell any of it ourselves. We respond to clear, good-faith infringement notices by removing or disabling access to the content in question.
We are a Pakistan-based business and are not registered with the US Copyright Office as a designated agent. We follow the DMCA-style process below because it is a clear, well-understood way to describe a complaint — not because we claim any registration.
2. How to file a notice
Send us a written notice that includes all of the following. Missing pieces are the usual reason a complaint stalls, so please include them all:
- The work you own. Identify the copyrighted work, trademark, or other right — with a link to the original where one exists, or a registration number for a trademark.
- The infringing material. The full URL(s) of the page, product, or image on Storecrafto you want removed. A store name alone is not enough for us to act on.
- Your contact details. Name, organisation (if any), email address, postal address, and phone number.
- A good-faith statement that you believe the use is not authorised by you, your agent, or the law.
- An accuracy and authority statement — that the information in your notice is accurate, and that you are the rights holder or are authorised to act on their behalf.
- Your signature, physical or electronic (typing your full name at the end of the email counts).
3. Where to send it
Email [email protected] with “Copyright complaint” in the subject line. Our registered business details are on the Contact page if you need to write to us by post.
4. What we do on receipt
- We acknowledge your notice, normally within 3 business days.
- We review it for the elements above. If something is missing or the claim is unclear, we will come back to you rather than guess.
- Where the notice is valid, we remove or disable access to the material — that may mean unpublishing a product, deleting an image, or taking a page offline.
- We notify the merchant, tell them what was removed and why, and pass on a copy of your notice (including your contact details, so they can respond to you directly).
5. Counter-notices
If you are a merchant and believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, reply to us at [email protected] with: the material that was removed and where it was, a statement that you believe in good faith it was removed in error, your name, address and phone number, your consent to the jurisdiction of the courts described in section 8, and your signature.
We pass counter-notices to the original complainant. If they do not tell us they have started legal proceedings within a reasonable period — normally 10 to 14 business days — we may restore the material.
6. Repeat infringers
Selling counterfeit or stolen goods already breaches the acceptable use section of our Terms of Service. Stores that repeatedly attract valid infringement notices are suspended and, where the pattern continues, terminated under those terms. Where the situation allows, we warn the merchant first and give them a chance to respond.
7. False claims carry liability
Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing — or that it was removed by mistake — can make you liable for the resulting damages and costs. This process is for genuine rights holders, not for taking a competitor's listing offline. We are not a court: we cannot decide who owns what, and where a dispute is genuinely contested the parties may need to resolve it between themselves.
8. Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of Pakistan, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Pakistan.
