Getting started

When you finish setting up, your store is live. The checklist on the Dashboard shows what is left, and ticks each item off by itself as you do it:

1. Add your first product. Your homepage's product and category sections stay hidden to shoppers until you have one, so this comes first.
2. Build your homepage with AI - free. Every store gets one free homepage build: one tap and the AI designs your homepage from the description you gave when you signed up, using your theme's sections, and saves it. We cover the cost, and it works on a phone.
3. Customize your theme - change colours, fonts and every section in the theme editor (on a computer).
4. Try AI Studio - turn a phone photo into a studio-quality product picture.
5. Payment, delivery and your own domain, when you are ready.

About the free homepage build:

• It is one build per store. If it does not work out, you can try again - after three failed tries the offer closes, and the AI website maker in the theme editor is still there with its normal price.
• Right after it saves, Undo on the same card puts your old homepage back. Later, open the theme editor and change anything, or build again from the AI tab.
• It never replaces a homepage you already designed without asking you first.

Sample products in the editor: while your store has no active products (drafts don't count), the theme editor's preview fills the product sections with sample cards so you can see the design - and, if you have no categories yet either, the category sections with sample categories. Shoppers never see them. Once a product is active, the preview switches to your real products the next time it reloads.

Reminder emails: in your first week we send up to three short emails - a welcome, then a reminder on day 2 and day 5 - listing only the things you have not done yet. They stop on their own after the first week. To stop them sooner, click "Stop these tips" at the bottom of any of them and confirm, or switch off "Tips, reminders and news from Storecrafto" under Settings > General. The same switch - or the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any news email from us - also stops our occasional news and offers for that store. Order and billing emails are not affected. You may also see a few tips in the bell at the top of the admin.
